Lalvin EC 1118 Wine Yeast, 5 gr packet


Selected from fermentation in the Champagne region and recommended for white, rose, and red wine fermentation. This is a very popular neutral yeast that will have very little effect on the varietal character of the grape. A reliable and versatile strain of yeast that is also used in ciders & fruit wines, and known to restart a stuck fermentation.

Alcohol tolerance up to 18%, with optimal fermentation temperatures between 10 to 30 Celsius.

How to use: Re-hydrate yeast in 5 times its weight of clean water at 40 Celsius. Let stand for 20 minutes, gently stir to break up any clumps. Add to must.
